Meet our Founders
Blanca Burch
“Until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter” - African Proverb
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Blanca Burch is a co-founder of Culturally Kreative. She is an entrepreneur, leader, and educator. She is a Dean’s List student at Spelman College with a major in International Studies and a minor in Management and Organization.
During her time at Spelman, Blanca began the Entrepreneurship club where she helps other entrepreneurs on the campus access resources and expand their network throughout the city of Atlanta.
Blanca is passionate about changing the narrative about cultural education in the American school system. She has worked in schools in both Wisconsin and Atlanta, Georgia.
Blanca is an avid traveler who has traveled abroad on multiple occasions. She is fluent French and currently learning Japanese.
Michelle Burch
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Michelle Burch is an entrepreneur, educator, and Reading Specialist with over two decades of teaching experience. She is a co-founder of Culturally Kreative. She currently is an Instructional Methods Coordinator for the Racine Unified School District where she empowers, encourages and positively impacts teachers and students.
Her passion for reading extends outside the classroom where she was the former Vice President of Racine/Kenosha Reading Council, where she promoted best literacy practices for educators in the state of Wisconsin.
Additionally, Michelle loves pouring her life experiences into young women. This led to her becoming a mentor for the Racine Unified School District and serving as a panelist for the African-American Female Initiative to encourage young women to consider a career in education.
As an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, she uses her talents and passion for the benefit of her community. Michelle believes in seeking out her dreams and living a purposeful life.
She enjoys spending time with family and traveling abroad. Michelle resides in Wisconsin with her husband and four daughters.
